Humor is a tough beat; as the saying goes, dying is easy–comedy is hard. And there is so much territory that has already been staked out–nobody should be allowed to do Fake News except The Onion; everything else is in that vein is almost always a pale imitation. And it’s easy to get stale; comedy depends so much on the shock of the new that it’s hard to be funny on a regular basis. (Or, you, know, in my case, at all). Which makes Rudnick even more impressive; he’s consistently good. Here’s another, for desert.
